Business Undergraduates: How to schedule an appointment with a Career Consultant:

  1. Visit wsu.joinhandshake.com/appointments/new > Login using WSU Network ID
  2. Select Carson College of Business – WSU Pullman
  3. Select appointment type: Online or In Person
  4. Select preferred day/time
  5. Add some notes about the help you are requesting (e.g., “searching for a summer internship in Seattle” or “resume review” or “High Impact Learning Experience brainstorming” etc.)

MBA and EMBA Students: How to schedule an appointment with a Career Consultant:

  1. Visit https://wsu.instructure.com/courses/1445109/pages/career-enhancement-center -> Login using WSU Network ID

Airmeet Career Fair Tips

Prepare for the Fair

  • Check out the registered companies before the event on Handshake
  • Update your Handshake and LinkedIn profiles
  • Be prepared to share a link to your digital resume with the recruiter

Tech Considerations

  • Log on using a laptop or desktop
  • Register on Airmeet using your WSU email
  • The preferred browser for Airmeet is Google Chrome. Make sure your browser is updated.
  • Review the “Preparing for Airmeet” PDF

During the Fair

  • Arrive on time to the virtual event
  • Professional business attire is highly encouraged for virtual fair events
  • Turn on your camera while actively engaged with an employer. You will not be able to change your virtual background – plan accordingly.
  • No need to schedule a 1:1 appointment ahead of time. Monitor company tables for an “open” chair to meet with employer reps.

Handshake Career Fair Tips

  • All the tips in the section above also apply.
  • Frequently check out employer appointment availability.. Employers will be making regular updates to available 1:1 and group sessions. Sign up ahead of time to secure your schedule.
  • Students should download and use the Handshake app to attend the virtual fair if utilizing a mobile device.
  • If you need additional support with your Alumni Handshake registration please reach out to Alena Hume at ACSS, alena.hume@wsu.edu.
  • Want to share your resume info with an employer on Handshake? Consider sharing a link to your updated LinkedIn profile.
  • Make sure to utilize either Chrome or Firefox when navigating the Virtual Handshake Platform. Also, please make sure your browser is up to date.

Virtual Event Resources for Employers

Helpful Employer Event Tips (Airmeet)

Registering Your Representative(s)

  • Add the emails of attending representatives to your Handshake registration.
  • Only persons listed in the registration will receive an invite to the Airmeet platform. Details will be emailed closer to the event date.
  • Representatives will not need to create or manage schedules ahead of the event. Just log in and participate.

Tech Considerations

  • Log on using a laptop or desktop
  • Representatives may sign in to Airmeet using their LinkedIn profile or work email. Their professional image and current title will be automatically generated if they log in using LinkedIn.
  • The preferred browser for Airmeet is Google Chrome. Make sure your browser is updated.

During the Fair

  • Airmeet allows for real-time video, audio, and chat communication with students.
  • The platform does not support attachment sharing. Instead, students can share links to PDFs or LinkedIn profiles. You can also exchange email addresses in real-time and share documents that way.
  • There will be no time limit on sessions with students.
  • A group session feature will not be available. All representatives and candidate interactions will be one-to-one.
  • You will be able to communicate with the Event Host in real-time via chat on the platform throughout the event.
  • Tech support will be available during the fair. Scroll to the bottom of the page where our team will assist.
  • Airmeet tech support will be available in real-time as well. Click on the “?” icon in the lower right-hand corner of your screen to access.
