Meet with a Career Consultant to discuss:

Career & Major Exploration | Job & Internship Search | Resume & Cover Letter Review | Interview Prep | Networking Strategies | Grad School, and more!

How to schedule a virtual appointment with a Career Consultant:

  1. Visit wsu.joinhandshake.com -> Login using WSU Network ID
  2. In the center of the page, click “Career Center”
  3. Then click: Appointments -> Schedule a new appointment -> Carson College of Business – WSU Pullman
  4. Select Appointment Type (e.g. Online Career Consulting with Ashley Kuznia)
  5. Select the time/day you would like to meet (be mindful of time zones)
  6. Fill out the “Help Requested” section with the topics you would like to discuss and finalize scheduling.

*Virtual appointments = A Zoom link for our virtual meeting room (video/voice chat) will be automatically sent to your “Other” inbox folder after you finish scheduling an appointment via Handshake.

Virtual Event Resources for Students

Airmeet Career Fair Tips

  • To learn more about the Airmeet platform: check out this video here
  • Use a Laptop/ Desktop to log in..
  • Make sure to use your most updated browser. The preferred browser for Airmeet is Google Chrome.
  • Remember that you should be on camera at all times while engaged with an employer.
  • Professional business attire is highly encouraged for all virtual fair events.
  • Arrive on time at the Airmeet event.
  • No need to schedule a 1:1 appointment ahead of time. Available employer tables will have an “open” chair for you to join the session.
  • Sign in and register on Airmeet using your WSU email using the provided link.
  • Rembember that you should be on camera while actively engaged with an employer.
  • Update your Handshake and LinkedIn profiles in preparation for virtual fair events.
  • Be prepared to share a link to your digital resume with your recruiter.
  • Check out the registered companies before the event on Handshake

  • Frequently check out employer appointment availability.. Employers will be making regular updates to available 1:1 and group sessions. Sign up ahead of time to secure your schedule.
  • Students should download and use the Handshake app to attend the virtual fair if utilizing a mobile device.
  • If you need additional support with your Alumni Handshake registration please reach out to Alena Hume at ACSS, alena.hume@wsu.edu.
  • Want to share your resume info with an employer on Handshake? Consider sharing a link to your updated LinkedIn profile.
  • Make sure to utilize either Chrome or Firefox when navigating the Virtual Handshake Platform. Also, please make sure your browser is up to date.

Virtual Event Resources for Employers

Helpful Employer Event Tips (Airmeet)

  • To learn more about the Airmeet platform: check out this video here
  • Use a Laptop/Desktop to log in.
  • Make sure to use your most updated browser. The preferred browser for Airmeet is Google Chrome.
  • Representatives will not need to create or manage representative schedules ahead of the event. Just log in and participate.
  • Please make sure to add the emails of attending representatives to your Handshake registration.
  • Only persons listed in the registration will receive an invite to the Airmeet Platform. Details will be emailed closer to the event date.
  • Representatives can sign in to Airmeet using their LinkedIn profiles or work emails. Their professional image and current title will be automatically generated if they log in using LinkedIn.
  • Airmeet allows for real-time video, audio, and chat communication with students.
  • There will be no time limit during virtual networking. Keep that conversation going or transition when your representative is ready.
  • A group session feature will not be available on the Airmeet Platform. All representatives and candidate interactions will be one to one.
  • You will be able to communicate with the event coordinator (Aimee Tejeda Lunn) in real-time via chat on the platform throughout the event.
  • Technical support will be available to every representative Via Airmeet in real-time. Click on the “?” icon on the lower right-hand side of your screen to access.
