China International Center

A partnership with Southwestern University of Finance and Economics in Chengdu

In the rapidly changing global landscape, no international business program is complete without a focus on the world’s fasting-growing economy. China is an important trading partner for Washington. Its emerging marketplace will shape worldwide business practices for generations to come.

The Carson College of Business has established an international center at Southwestern University of Finance and Economics (SWUFE), located in the capital of the Sichuan Province. The College has a permanent presence, with office space and an on-site program director.

Studying abroad in China

The Carson College offers a rich global learning experience for students and faculty visiting the China International Center through:

Degree programs at WSU for SWUFE students

Since 1998, SWUFE students and visiting scholars have cooperatively conducted innovative business education and research with Carson College partners. Many students participate in an MBA cooperative program with WSU, or travel to WSU to complete a certificate program in international business.

International Business Plan Competition

WSU has established an annual Business Plan Competition at SWUFE. Winners travel to Pullman to compete in the International Business Plan Competition held in April.
