Student Information

Career Networking Night is a virtual event that gives business students the ability to network with top Pacific Northwest businesses who are looking for ambitious and motivated students to fill their internship opportunities and full-time job offers. The Carson College of Business Career Networking Night and is designed and targeted towards Carson College business students, but other majors are more than welcome to join!

In addition, during September, the Carson Center will be offering workshops in preparation for Career Networking Night, such as Employer Previews, Panel Discussions, Resume Drop-in Hours, and Self Marketing Workshops all available via ZOOM.

For individualized event prep support, the Carson Career staff are available for one-on-one appointments to improve your resume, networking skills, and mock interviews to help you land your desired job or internship. Employer Information

The Carson College of Business Career Networking Night is an exciting virtual opportunity to meet and network with some of the most engaged business students at WSU. This event is a great chance to connect with the next generation of Carson Cougs, who are looking for networking experience with professionals, as well as possible employment or internships.

The Handshake virtual platform will allow for on-camera, interactive meetups with students through:

  • Video, audio, and chat communication with students
  • Group meetings with up to fifty students (30 minutes each)
  • 1:1 student meetings (10 minutes each), scheduled in advance or after a group session per register representative
  • Sharing company values and documentation with students ahead of time

Registration Dates

  • Early – Register by August 9
  • Regular – Register by September 18
  • Late – Register by September 28

Registration Payment Levels:

  • Event Sponsor: $750 – Register by September 6.
  • Organizations/ Companies: $300 (early) / $350 (regular) / $450 (late)
  • Non-Profit: $150 (early) / $175 (regular) / $225 (late)
  • WSU Departments: (IRI only) $150 (early) / $175 (regular) / $225 (late)

For employers looking to enhance their brand within the college and impact with our students, we are introducing Sponsor level registrations. Sponsors will be shared in our promotions, and includes other additional benefits.

CNN Sponsor Registration Includes:

  • Access to Handshake Virtual Event with extended time (4 hours)
  • Up to 15 participating representatives at no additional cost
  • Recognition as sponsor on promotions and event materials
  • Host virtual info session outside of event date/ time (optional)
  • Name and logo on WSU Carson College of Business webpage
  • Options to participate in employer engagement activities outside of event day (as space allows)
  • Carson Center will help promote posted Handshake opportunities
  • Event Thank-You gift

CNN Standard Registration includes:

  • Access to Handshake Virtual Event with extended time (4 hours)
  • Up to 15 participating representatives at no additional cost
  • Name on WSU Carson College of Business webpage
  • Options to participate in employer engagement activities outside of event day (as space allows)
  • Carson Center will help promote posted Handshake opportunities
