Become a Coach
Become a Coach and have a lasting impact on the next generation of Carson business leaders and the businesses they serve. Carson Business Solutions coaches play an important role in each student team’s process, acting as a business advisor, professional mentor and team coach. They empower students to think bigger, challenge them to innovate, share their leadership and business experience, and encourage each one to deliver their very best.
Who: Open to seasoned business leaders who seek active volunteer opportunities
Time: Coaches should be prepared to spend 2 hours with their student team each week during the 16-week semester. In order to ensure engagement and consistency, this time commitment will be planned and scheduled as recurring weekly meetings. The duration of the commitment is one semester.
When: Coaches may apply for Fall semester (August – December) or Spring semester (January to May).
Responsibilities: Mentors work with the student team and the client to:
- Clarify client needs and priorities
- Ensure client engagement and assist with student interactions
- Keep student team focused on most important issues
- Guide students to provide thorough and relevant analysis
- Make sure the student team’s recommendations are realistic
