Carson Coug Ambassadors

Darian Block

Hi! My name is Darian Block, and I’m a junior here at Wazzu planning to graduate in the summer of 2025! I am an HBM major with a minor in art history, but I’m not too certain on what I’m wanting to do after graduation. I am originally from Custer, South Dakota (20 minutes from Mt. Rushmore!), but I also lived in Orlando, Florida, for an internship at Walt Disney World. This fall semester, though, I will be living abroad to study art history and business in the Czech Republic! Other than studying, napping, and hanging out with friends, I’ve also taken part in a couple clubs and organizations at WSU, including STAGE theatre club, SHBM ambassadors, kickboxing classes, International Business club, and Sigma Iota. In my free time, though, I really enjoy lifting weights, baking, and just watching action or thriller movies. I have loved every minute here at WSU and in the Carson College of Business; everyone is so welcoming and supportive in whatever you want to do. Plus, there are so many resources for classes, scholarships, internships, and everything that are all so helpful. Hope everyone has a great year and go cougs!

Anusha Bose

Hey everyone! I’m Anusha Bose! I’m majoring in management information systems & management (the innovations and change specialization) with a minor in communications!!! Along with being an ambassador for the Carson College of Business, I am also an all-campus senator for the ASWSU 53rd Senate and a Cougs lead coordinator for the Cougs Lead leadership program here on campus! After graduating from WSU, I would love to continue on with my education and get my masters and work for an aviation company! I have loved planes ever since I was a little kid, and it has been a huge dream of mine to work in this industry! I still remember, the summer before I started my senior year of high school, coming to the WSU campus and being given a tour of both the campus and the Carson College of Business! That feeling of community which I felt in Pullman made me realize that this was the place which I was going to call home for the next couple of years! I’m really excited to meet all of you and hear what your story is!!! GO COUGS!!!

Dominic Devengenzo

My name is Dom Devengenzo, and I am a senior from Concord, California. In the spring, I will be graduating with a triple major in accounting, finance, and management information systems (MIS). Following graduation, I plan to apply my education to the sports business industry, yet I am not specifically sure of my preferred field. I am a proud first-generation (EDGE) college student, EDGE mentor, and an active member of the Honors College. Also, I am, of course, incredibly proud to call myself an ambassador of the Carson College of Business. Ultimately, I chose WSU because of its renowned environment and culture. To be a Coug is prestigious in every manner because, quite frankly, nobody does it better than the Palouse. My desire to be involved in the Carson College of Business came from the endless support and opportunity that I was flooded with upon admittance to the university. Through this ambassador role, I look forward to giving back to the Carson College and WSU in many ways; most importantly, I am thrilled to inspire the next generation of Cougs.

Jennia Garduno

My name is Jennia Garduno, and I am from Yakima, Washington. I am a double major in accounting and management information systems (MIS) with a minor in psychology. I anticipate graduating Fall 2024. I am proudly part of the first-generation EDGE program. I chose WSU because of its well-known business program as well as its welcoming community. I am honored to not only be part of the community, but also to be able to give back and help guide future generations! As always, Go Cougs!

Emma Haeberle

Hello! My name is Emma Haeberle, and I’m currently a senior majoring in business management HR and music with a voice emphasis here at WSU. This is my third year as a Carson College of Business ambassador, and I’m very excited to see all the fun things planned for this year. I’m very excited to announce that I am now engaged to my wonderful fiancé of six years and that I have also received a new job position within the Carson College of Business as the student recruitment assistant. With this new position, I can help first-year and current students navigate the different business majors, help schedule Carson tours, and promote WSU’s business college. I’m also continuing my vocal studies this year in WSU’s Concert Choir and Chamber Singers music ensembles. I’m also involved in a couple business clubs for management, the Concert Choir President, and the social media coordinator for Chamber Singers. I’m continuing my music studies along with my business courses here at WSU to become a music agent. I’ve always dreamed about managing a famous concert hall, venue, arena, or traveling the world with an up-and-coming artist. I will be graduating in spring of 2025, so let’s make senior year great. Go Cougs!

Kole Lappe

Hi! My name is Kole, and I am majoring in international business with a concentration in finance. I am a first-generation out-of-state student planning to graduate in 2024. I am honored to be an ambassador for the Carson College of Business, as it has made my college experience the best. I am very involved on campus with clubs and organizations, being a peer mentor for the EDGE program, as well as a member of the International Business club. I am on the executive board for my professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi and currently serve as the only student chairman for the University Conduct Board. Choosing to be a Carson Coug has challenged me in so many ways as a student by forcing me to go out of my comfort zone and become a better leader. The amount of support that I have received from the university has inspired me to want to give back and make other students’ experiences as great as mine has been. I am looking forward to giving back to the university and the next generation of Carson Cougs. Go Cougs!

James Harrison

My name is James Kaden Harrison! I’m from Kennewick, Washington, and I am a finance and MIS double major with a double minor in economics and professional writing. My anticipated graduation date is in May of 2025. After graduation, I hope to pursue my MBA to prepare me for a role in investment banking or private equity. What brought me to Pullman was my passion for business and the opportunities in that field that become available by being a Coug. Since my arrival, I have become heavily involved in Greek life through my fraternity, Beta Theta Pi, while also exploring other opportunities which led me to become an ambassador for the Carson College of Business and a teaching assistant for the Course BA_100. These opportunities have allowed me to grow as a person, while also having a broader understanding of the community. I am honored to be in the position I am in as an ambassador, and I hope to make a positive impact in the WSU community this year.

Maria Matteo

My name is Maria Matteo, and I’m pursuing my bachelor’s in marketing and certifications in professional sales and global leadership. I was born and raised in Vancouver, Washington, and anticipate graduating in spring 2024. I recently studied abroad in Florence, Italy, this summer through WSU’s “Food, Wine, and Culture” Faculty-Led Program and gained a new insight for the business world overseas. I currently work as a front of house caterer at the Marriott Hospitality Culinary Innovation Center on campus and serve on the executive board for professional business fraternity, Delta Sigma Pi. In the future, I aspire to work in a career that explores my passions towards the arts, business, and greater community. I am honored to be a part of WSU’s fun, supportive, and engaging school community and hope to be a guiding light for others pursuing their business ambitions. I am thrilled to serve as an ambassador this school year and look forward to welcoming students into this incredible community.

Kaiya Phillips

My name is Kaiya Phillips. I’m from Long Beach, California, and I attended online during the 2020 covid year, but now I’m on campus in Pullman starting my second year. I am majoring in international business and planning to graduate in 2024. When I first applied to WSU, I was an environmental science major. It wasn’t long after I changed it to international business. I’m so excited to be able to work with the future Cougs of WSU!

Kristy Wu

Hello! My name is Kristy Wu, and I am from Appleton, Wisconsin. I am majoring in accounting and plan to graduate in 2026. I enjoy competing in intramural sports and I work on campus at Einstein Bros. Bagels. The community at WSU drew my attention, and the resources given to the students are very helpful towards the path to success. Don’t hesitate to take advantage of them! I am hoping to study abroad this summer and gain some international experience. I am super excited for the upcoming school year and to be an ambassador!
