WA Representative Ed Orcutt will speak in CUE 202 on “Pulling Back the Curtain on Taxes in Washington.“

As before, the event will be live-streamed so students, faculty, and staff on other WSU campuses can attend and submit questions to Mr. Orcutt.

Serving as a Representative since 2002, Rep. Orcutt is the ranking Republican on the Washington State House Finance Committee. He serves on Washington’s Economic and Revenue Forecast Council and is the ranking Republican on the House Transportation Committee. In addition, Mr. Orcutt serves on the Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, where he relies on his forestry background to advocate for sound forest policy. He also serves on the Joint Legislative Audit and Review Committee.

Rep. Orcutt’s views on taxes generally differ from those of Senator Noel Frame, who spoke at the Hoops Tax Forum on April 1, 2024. Thus, Rep. Orcutt will provide an insightful bookend of contrasting viewpoints.”
