Work Experience Petition Form

Carson College students come with a wide variation of professional work experience. Students with three (3) or more years of full-time professional work experience may be eligible to satisfy some degree requirements with work experience.

Students who have been in the workforce and have several years of professional work experience and/or management experience, and can clearly articulate how a Carson College degree helps them in the pursuit of career goals may apply for this curricular modification.

Based on the extent of your professional work experience, you will select one of the following:

1	Minimum of 5 years of verifiable, full-time management, supervisor, or leadership experience post high school (military leadership experience will be considered in this category). 2	Minimum of 3 years of verifiable, full-time work experience (post high-school) Sophomore standing (30+ semester credits) 2.80 Cumulative GPA *This option is not available to HBM, SLM, and WBBM majors	If approved, the following requirements will be satisfied with your work experience: HBM 101 Professional Development (1 cr) Carson Career Amplifier Program
3	Minimum of 3 years of verifiable, full-time work experience (post high-school) 2.50 Cumulative GPA Petition Deadlines December Graduates - November 1 May Graduates - April 1 August Graduates - July 1 Students must complete an Amplifier Orientation BEFORE they can submit a petition.	If approved, Carson Career Amplifier Program requirements will be satisfied based on your experiences explained in your application below.

- December Graduates - November 1
- May Graduates - April 1
- August Graduates - July 1

Students must complete an Amplifier Orientation BEFORE they can submit a petition.

If approved, Carson Career Amplifier Program requirements will be satisfied based on your experiences explained in your application below.

If you are petitioning to satisfy Amplifier Program requirements only, please use Option 3.

If a student’s Amplifier program is satisfied, please note we DO NOT satisfy the following because they provide us with crucial information that assist in our continuous improvement:

- Strength of Writing (Clear, Concise, Evidence-driven, Persuasive, Proper mechanics)

Documents must demonstrate your understanding of tailoring your resume and cover letter to fit the job. Your resume and cover letter should highlight the strength of your professional development experiences and why you are a strong candidate for this waiver.
