Accounting & Finance
I am currently double majoring in Accounting and Finance. I am from Juneau, Alaska and chose to come to Washington State University because of the out-of-state experience and college town environment. My two favorite aspects of being a Coug is the community/network that WSU gives immediately and the opportunities available through the Carson College of Business (CCoB). The opportunities within the CCoB include scholarships, internships, jobs after graduation, and mentorship programs. I chose to be part of the Carson Edge mentorship program to help underclassmen find the opportunities I found and give back to the college. I like to travel and experience new things as well as hike and be with people.

Marketing & Management with a minor in Hospitality Business Management
I am a Junior here at Washington State University, double majoring in Marketing and Management with a minor in Hospitality. I am from the west side of the mountains, more specifically the city of Puyallup – home of the Washington State Fair. Growing up, my family was always a huskie family, so enrolling in WSU really broke their hearts. But seeing how many opportunities WSU has to offer, my family couldn’t be more proud to call themselves Cougs. Along with being a Peer Mentor in the Carson College, I also work for a professor (GO TO OFFICE HOURS, BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH PROFESSORS, ETC. – it really proves to be beneficial) as a digital marketing analyst and am a Carson College Ambassador. Outside of work and academics, I enjoy painting and hanging out with friends. I also have two cats back home and a hamster here in Pullman (don’t tell my landlord).

Paolo Macariola – Junior
I’m a first-generation junior majoring in accounting. I’m originally from King County, Washington and grew up in Kent. All my life I despised Washington State University and was a die-hard Husky. It wasn’t until I took a visit to Pullman, that I realized I loved WSU. My first year at WSU was insane, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Apart from academics, you can catch me working, watching Netflix, or hanging with my family/friends.

Marketing & International Business with a minor in Hospitality Business Management
I am currently a junior double-majoring in Marketing and International Business with a minor in Hospitality Business Management. My favorite thing about WSU is the supportive, passionate, spirited community that we have within the Cougar Family. In addition to my Peer Mentor position, I currently serve as a Team Leader for the Cougar Connector Team, Director of Marketing for the School of Hospitality Business Management Ambassadors and am a LAUNCH Ambassador. I am also a member of the Honors College, Sigma Iota as well as my sorority, Delta Gamma. In my free time, I love explore the Palouse, spend time with friends and family and watch documentaries. The term “Cougs help Cougs” has proven to be incredibly true throughout my time at WSU, and I am so excited to help Carson Cougs find their path.

Accounting & Management Information Systems
I am entering into my senior year as first-generation student majoring in Accounting and MIS. I was born and raised in the Tri-Cities along with my six siblings. I chose to attend WSU after I fell in love with the campus and school spirit the first time I visited. My two favorite things that I’ve learned during my time as a student is that Coug pride is unmatched, and Cougs help Cougs! I have had the opportunity to make valuable peer and professional connections because of Carson College of Business. I am also a member of Beta Alpha Psi, the business fraternity for Accounting majors. In the future I am looking forward to moving to Seattle and traveling the world.

Marketing with minors in Fine Art & Psychology
I’m a senior majoring in marketing, with a double minor in psychology and fine art. As a first-generation college student, I feel very fortunate to have come to WSU and had such a wonderful experience within the Carson College of Business. I hope to share what I’ve learned with incoming students so that they have the confidence to succeed and reach their fullpotential. In addition to being a Peer Mentor, this is my third year participating in the Carson EDGE program.
