Carson Center Peer‑Mentors
Kole Lappe – Sophomore
International Business
Hello my name is Kole Lappe and I am a sophomore majoring in International Business with a minor in Finance. I am from Dell Montana so I really enjoy the outdoors. Growing up I have always wanted to move to Washington and when I went to my first CFS I knew that this was the place to go. Being involved with WSU has helped me grow not only as a student but professionally as well. Along with being a Peer Mentor with the Carson College I am really involved on campus. Currently I am on exec for my social fraternity Delta Kappa Epsilon, and my professional business fraternity Delta Sigma Pi. I am the sole student chairman for the University Conduct Board, along with being a member of the Greek Standards Board. I currently work at the Cougar Card Center as a Clerical Assistant along with working at the Student Recreational Center as a Lifeguard so if you have any questions about finding jobs on campus I can be a great resource!
Paris Kemmer – Junior
Marketing & Management with a minor in Hospitality Business Management
I am Paris Kemmer, and I am a senior here at Washington State University. I am double majoring in Marketing and Management with an academic certificate in Behavioral Business Research. I am from Puyallup, WA, but I plan on moving to New York as soon as my bank account would allow (:
Along with being a Peer Mentor in the Carson College, I also work as a Teaching Assistant, Research Assistant, a Carson College Ambassador, and a Boeing Scholar. During the past two summers I had the awesome opportunity to work as an Executive Team Lead Intern with Target! I also worked as a Digital Marketing Analyst for a previous professor’s personal business.
Outside of work and academics, I enjoy paddleboarding and hanging out with friends. If anyone ever wants to rent paddle boards from the rec and hang out, let me know! I also have two cats back home and a hamster here in Pullman (don’t tell my landlord).

Paolo Macariola – Junior
Accounting
I’m a first-generation junior majoring in accounting. I’m originally from King County, Washington and grew up in Kent. All my life I despised Washington State University and was a die-hard Husky. It wasn’t until I took a visit to Pullman, that I realized I loved WSU. My first year at WSU was insane, but I wouldn’t change it for anything. Apart from academics, you can catch me working, watching Netflix, or hanging with my family/friends.
Emma Mason – Junior
Marketing & International Business with a minor in Hospitality Business Management
I am a senior double-majoring in Marketing and International Business with a minor in Hospitality Business Management. My favorite thing about WSU is the supportive, passionate, and spirited community that we have within the Cougar Family. In addition to my Peer Mentor position, I currently serve as the Vice President: Finance of my sorority Delta Gamma, I am a Team Leader for the WSU University Ambassadors, the Director of Marketing for the School of Hospitality Business Management Ambassadors and I also work as a barista for the Mariott Hospitality and Culinary Innovation Center at the Atrium Café in Todd Hall. I am also a member of the Honors College. This summer, I was able to participate in a global business consulting internship as well as a front of house internship at a winery in Lake Chelan, Washington. Because of COVID-19, my study abroad opportunities in the past were canceled. As a result I will be studying abroad in Italy on a faculty-led trip in the summer of 2022. In my free time, I love to explore the Palouse and spend time with friends and family. The term “Cougs help Cougs” has proven to be incredibly true throughout my time at WSU, and I am so excited to help Carson Cougs find their path.
Amiyah Johnson – Sophomore
Finance
My name is Amiyah Johnson! I am from Tacoma, Washington born and raised attended Lincoln High School, and graduated in 2020 (COVID year sadly). I am a current sophomore at WSU studying business finance and hopefully, soon I am going to begin a minor in psychology.
For work, I have an internship with GESA Credit Union. I am a student relationship officer so if you see me around the CUB at a booth or a football game be sure to say Hi! I also am in a few programs/clubs at the school like TRIO, the Carson Edge Program, the Black Student Union, the National Society of Leadership, and of course a peer mentor!
Other than work, school, and programs I like to have a lot of fun during my free time. I like to go out with my friends, work out, hike, and a lot of the time just find something random and spontaneous to do with friends or by myself. I also have a French bulldog named Nipsey and he’s probably my favorite person in the whole world.

Marketing with minor in Wine and Beverage Business Management
Hello! I am a Senior majoring in Marketing and minoring in Wine and Beverage Business Management. I grew up in Palouse, WA, just 15 miles up the road from Pullman, and have been a Coug since birth! Growing up, I always knew I would end up at Washington State in one way or another, it just took me a while to get here. I transferred from Montana State University to WSU at the beginning of my Junior year when I decided I wanted to get a business degree and knew that the Carson College of Business was the place to pursue that goal. Since then, my passion for wine and its social aspects have grown through classes and industry experience that I wouldn’t have known about without WSU. This is my first year as a peer mentor, and I am also involved with the School of Hospitality Business Management Ambassador program, Sigma Iota, and Eta Sigma Delta. When I’m not in class, I’m usually working at the dog kennel in my hometown, hanging out with my friends and family, or watching my favorite movies.
