Research highlights
Responding to mistakes in business
Marketing flops and operational disasters can cost companies millions. Professor Chuck Munson, an expert on supply chain management, examines the implications of business mistakes. He identifies lessons to be learned, ways to prevent mistakes, and service recovery efforts. He’s discovered that the ways in which companies react to mistakes can create longer-lasting impact than the mistakes themselves.
Recognition for academic publishing
The quality, frequency and impact of Washington State University professor Gene Lai’s publishing was recognized in a recent article about appearances in academic journals. The study identified major contributing authors to three elite and seven high-impact academic risk management and insurance (RMI) journals over the past 30 and 10 years.
