Cougs Helping Cougs Scholarship

The Cougs Helping Cougs Scholarship is for students who would like to serve as EDGE peer mentors to first-generation Business students to help them successfully transition to WSU during their first year. Scholarship recipients must have previously successfully completed the B_A 496: Theory and Practice of Peer Mentoring class and begin their peer mentor duties during the fall of the next academic year. Peer mentors could have up to 3-5 mentees with which they are required to meet a minimum of three times per semester. Successful candidates may also have the opportunity to assist in teaching the EDGE First-Year Cohort course. A full year commitment is required, with possibility of subsequent year extensions if desired and available funding.

Requirements:

Successful Completion of B_A 496: Theory & Practice of Peer Mentoring
GPA of 3.0 or better
Pullman Campus student
At least one year of experience at WSU
