Carson College of Business Minors Requirements & Application

Certify in a Minor

The spring application for certification is now open and will close on May 5th at 5:00 pm.

Getting accepted

The number of applicants accepted each semester is based on the number of spots available. Acceptance is competitive. Once you’ve fulfilled the course requirements, you will be ranked relative to other applicants based on your cumulative GPA and other academic performance criteria.

Certification Requirements

You must:

  • Be certified in a major at the time you apply  (You may earn a minor in business administration only if you are majoring in a field outside the Carson College of Business. If you are a certified business major, you may only earn a minor in Hospitality Business Management, not a business minor within your business degree program.)
  • Have 60 semester credit hours
  • Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA

Credit-hour and GPA requirements must be met by the end of the semester in which you apply or your application will be denied.

The Process

You and other applicants will be placed in ranked order according to your academic performance at the end of the semester in which you apply. The number of students accepted to certify a minor will be based on the number of spaces available for the next semester.

Review the confirmation email you receive at the time you complete your application for certification.  This email will supply information regarding your application status.

Use this application to certify into a minor in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship,  Hospitality Business Management, and Wine Business Management on the Pullman campus.
