In this workshop, you will learn the basics of building an effective PowerPoint presentation slide deck by learning good practices in strategic visual display of information.

As with any virtual opportunity, make sure you are professional. Keep in mind your background, your dress, and your participation. This is an opportunity to elevate your professionalism in a virtual world. So consider what is in your background, what people can see, your lighting, and how you engage by being visibly attentive, commenting/engaging via zoom or verbal expression and finally how your camera is positions. In the Carson College of Business, the expectation is that you are in full view, in visible light and that you are not working, or in class. You are engaged. You will receive one personal message warning and if the issue isn’t resolved, you will be removed from the room and credit will not be awarded.
