
Justine Cohen joins WSU Vancouver as an academic coordinator and advisor. After about eight years in Missoula, Montana, she is happily back in her home-region of the Pacific Northwest. Justine holds a master’s degree in counselor education from the University of Montana, where she also worked as an administrative associate for the Clinical Psychology Center supporting doctorate students and their clients. She is a nationally certified counselor and previously worked as a school counselor in K-12 schools in Vancouver. In her free time, she enjoys reading and writing, and hopes to publish novels in the future.

Esther Im is an assistant professor in the Finance and Management Department. She recently earned her PhD in finance from the University of Missouri. Her research focuses on behavioral finance, and she recently had a paper published examining how national politics influence corporate culture messaging. When she is not teaching or conducting research, she enjoys cooking and binge-watching TV series.

Pat Johnson is a scholarly assistant professor of marketing in the Department of Marketing & International Business and the director of the WSU Center for Professional Sales in Pullman. He teaches professional sales and business courses grounded in real-world applications, helping students launch successful sales careers. Johnson holds a juris doctorate from the University of Virginia School of Law, and a bachelor’s degree in economics from the University of Washington. Originally from Spokane, Johnson practiced corporate law for five years. He then spent the last 15 years working in various roles in LegalTech companies, marketing and selling software for legal applications, before coming to WSU. He lives in Pullman, and enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and spending time with his family and dog, Ike.

James Montalto is the lifelong learning manager in the Carson College of Business. He brings 25 years of experience in education, including the past 15 years helping universities grow adult and online education strategies. His work focuses on scaling programs, aligning teams, and building sustainable partnerships. Montalto and his wife of 27 years have two college-aged children and enjoy traveling, cooking, baking, and spending time with their dog, Atticus.

Daisy Roberts is an advising systems specialist for the Carson Center for Student Success. She graduated from Eastern Washington University with a BA in English. As an undergrad student, she worked for two and a half years at EWU’s financial aid office, which led to her wanting to continue working in higher ed. In her spare time, Roberts can be found scrapbooking, reading a book, or writing.

Christoph Schneider is an associate professor in the Department of Management, Information Systems, and Entrepreneurship. Originally from Germany, Christoph earned a BA in hotel and restaurant administration at WSU’s Brig Campus and a PhD in business administration at WSU. Before returning to the Palouse, Schneider held faculty positions at IESE Business School in Barcelona, City University of Hong Kong, and Boise State University. His primary research interests center on the effects of interface design on human behavior. In his spare time, Christoph enjoys learning how to be the owner of a vintage home, and spending time with his wife Birgit and his 4 1/2-year-old daughter Amalia.
