The Carson College of Business EDGE Program guides first-generation and low-income students through the challenges of college and helps them prepare for careers in business.
We offer academic and career support, mentorship, and financial help so students can focus on their goals, build confidence, and develop their strengths.
What does EDGE provide to first-gen business students?
- A community of network and support through mentorship and regular planned activities in partnership with campus resources
- 94% of EDGE students graduate within 6 years with their business degree. According to First-Gen Forward, the six-year graduation rate for first-generation students is currently 24%.
- Intensive academic and career planning focused on supporting students as they work to achieve their goals
- Eligibility to apply for a renewable scholarship of up to $3,000, upon completion of their first year in the program.
