In addition to course requirements, IBUS majors gain additional marketable skills and a higher level of expertise through these requirements:

  • Foreign Language Requirement (8 credits). Intermediate level foreign language competency is required.
  • Study Abroad Requirement (12 credits). A minimum of one semester through a pre-approved study abroad program is required.
  • Specialty Requirement (9 or 15 credits). Students must select from either a double-major (15 credits), or a Concentration (9 credits). See section below for a listing of Concentration areas.
