One of the Carson College’s longest-standing global partnerships is with César Ritz Colleges Switzerland. Nestled in a small town amidst picturesque mountains, the Brig campus is a traditional Swiss hospitality school. It sets the highest standard in Europe for hospitality business management education.

Studying abroad in Switzerland
If you’re a certified major or minor in the Carson College, you may qualify to enter a faculty-led study abroad program on the Brig campus. The semester-long, program lets you complete upper division course requirements for the WSU international business major or minor. Faculty from WSU and Cèsar Ritz Colleges Switzerland teach courses to both WSU and Cèsar Ritz Colleges students, with all instruction given in English. The program provides an opportunity for you to experience global learning at its best.
Earning concurrent degrees from WSU and César Ritz
You may join students from around the world in a unique dual degree program that lets you earn—at the same time—bachelors’ degrees from 2 institutions:
- WSU Bachelor of Arts in Hospitality Business Management
- César Ritz Colleges Bachelor of International Business in Hotel and Tourism Management
This program combines the expertise and experience of an AACSB-accredited business school with that of a traditional Swiss hospitality school. You earn both degrees in 3 years while living and studying in Switzerland. The time frame includes 2, 6-month internships. This program is not designed for currently enrolled WSU students.
You may choose to begin studying at either the Bouveret or Lucerne campuses of César Ritz Colleges and will complete the degree at the Brig campus. The WSU curriculum is delivered using a blend of online courses, taught through the Global Campus, and courses taught by WSU faculty on-site in Brig.

International Business Plan Competition
Each year César Ritz students participate in their own annual Business Plan Competition. Winners travel to Pullman in April to compete in the international event.
