- Participate in a club, team, interes group where you can connect with a similar interest (Greek life, athletics, clubs, EDGE, church group, etc.)

Career Exploration
Explore career opportunities, companies, and industries you are most interested in. Learn about the skills/experiences you need to thrive in those careers.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Attend ONE professional development/exploration event.

Career Exploration
It’s time to fine-tune your career goals and action plan. To do this, you will need a greater understanding of company and industry expectations so you can set yourself up with the skills and experiences that employers want most.

Learning to Network

to Network event

Creating Your Brand
Learning about yourself (skills, strengths, experiences), and knowing how to effectively communicate what you have to offer employers, is critical. Whether communicating in writing (resume, cover letter), online (LinkedIn profile), or in a job interview, creating and communicating a strong personal brand can help you land your dream job.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete TWO Creating Your Brand activities.

Connecting Your Network
Nearly 80% of jobs are found through networking, not job boards! Strengthen your communication skills and begin to grow and connect with your professional network. Over Tiers III and IV, you will complete a total of 5 Career Networking activities/events. Building a strong professional network takes time, so spread these out over your last two years.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Attend TWO Career Networking events.

Develop and Lead
Leadership is built through time, practice, and intentional growth. Leadership is more than being able to lead a team; it’s also about being a strong team member, recognizing the strengths of others, fostering collaboration, and inspiring progress toward shared goals.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete ONE leadership development activity.

High Impact Learning Experience
Each year, over 370,000 students earn business degrees. To stand out, you need more than a degree. Employers say internships and other active-learning experiences are among the best way to differentiate yourself. What will you do to rise above the crowd?
REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete at least ONE high impact learning experience.
NOTE: If you plan to complete this requirement through a project listed on the previous link, you must submit the HILE Proposal Formfor review prior to beginning your project.

Career Essentials
As you graduate from WSU and move into the next stage of your life, you will find there are many things that weren’t covered in your college classes; both job-related, and life-related. Giving you a glimpse into this new world should help you feel better equipped to navigate this new chapter of your life.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete at least ONE Career Essentials workshop, lecture, activity, etc. Financial Literacy, Job Offer Negotiations, Grad School Test Prep, Navigating HR Forms, Success in the First 90 Days, and much more.

Leveraging Your Network
In your final year at WSU, now is the time to leverage the network you built in Tiers II and III. Reconnecting with your network to gain insights into opportunities in your field. If you have accepted a full-time job offer, submit your job offer letter to satisfy all networking requirements.

- Attend THREE Career Networking events

As we recruit the next generation of Carson Cougs, prospective students and their families often ask what companies hire Carson graduates and what are average starting salaries. By sharing your post-graduation info, you can help inform future students considering WSU.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete the WSU Post-Graduation Outcomes Survey in your final semester.
Crimson Pathway
Students with 30 or more credits

For students entering WSU with Sophomore standing or those transferring into the Carson College after their Freshman year, it is important that you begin your career development journey right away. Most Pathway students attend Carson for a shorter time than traditional 4-year students. Because of this, Crimson Pathway I is an abbreviated versions Tiers I and II; designed to help you understand the expectations of the Carson College, both inside and outside of the classroom, and get you started on career exploration and networking.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Attend ONE Carson College & Amplifier Orientation
- Attend ONE Professional development/exploration event
- Complete ONE Learning to Network event

In the last half of your time at WSU, your focus should be on gaining skills/experiences that will differentiate you from all of the other business school graduates. Learning about yourself (skills, strengths, experiences), and knowing how to effectively communicating what you have to offer employers, is critical. Crimson Pathway II helps you to achieve this.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Complete TWO Building your Market Value activities.
- Complete TWO Creating your Brand activities.
- Complete ONE High Impact Learning Experience.
- Attend TWO Connecting your Network events.
- Complete ONE Leadership Development Activity.
- Complete ONE Career Essentials workshop.
- Complete the WSU Post-Graduation Outcomes Survey.
NOTES:
- If you plan to complete the High Impact Learning Experience requirement through a project listed on the previous link, you must submit the HILE Proposal Form for review prior to beginning your project.
- If you accepted a full-time job offer, submit your job offer letter to satisfy all networking requirements.
Accepted a Full-Time job or accepted to Grad School?
For students who have completed Tiers I-II or Crimson Pathway I, if you accepted a post-graduation full-time job offer, military commissioning, grad school offer, or are currently employed full-time in your field, you could have your remaining Tier III-IV or Crimson Pathway II requirements satisfied (except the WSU Outcomes Survey requirement). Submit a copy of your offer letter, grad school acceptance letter, military commissioning orders, or verification of FT employment in Suitable.
Do You Have Considerable Full-time Work Experience?
If you have full-time professional work experience after high school, you may be able to use that experience to meet certain Carson College of Business degree requirements.
