The Carson Center hosts regular drop-in advising throughout the semester. Drop-in advising operates in person in the Carson Center and via Zoom, on a first-come, first-served basis.

DROP-IN ADVISING is for:

  • Quick questions that can be answered within 10 minutes
  • Students who are interested in minoring or changing to/adding a business major
  • Troubleshooting registration issues

DROP-IN ADVISING is not for:

  • Academic planning
  • Completing reinstatement conditions
  • International Student Sponsor Requests
  • Completing a course pre-approval for study abroad
  • Complicated or significant issues requiring more than 10 minutes to resolve

Students should use their advisor’s Bookings Link to schedule an advising appointment if their issue is listed above.

Please note:
Students attending drop-in advising should plan to attend on their laptops, have their cameras on, and be in a location where they can fully engage in the meeting safely and without distraction. Students who are driving, in class, are having significant technical difficulties with audio, video, or Wi-Fi connection issues, etc. will not be permitted to meet with an advisor and will be asked to return when they have eliminated distractions and/or barriers.

  1. From your myWSU Student Homepage, select the Academic Advising tile.
  2. Select Advisors from the left menu.
  3. Select “Bookings” under the “Schedule an Appointment” column next to your academic advisor’s name.
  4. Your advisor’s Bookings calendar will open using this link. Select an available appointment date/time that works with your schedule.
  5. Be sure to arrive a few minutes early for your meeting. If you are unable to make your scheduled meeting time, notify your advisor via email with 24 hours’ notice, when possible.

Please note:
Students attending advising meetings via Zoom should plan to attend on their laptops, have their cameras on, and be in a location where they can fully engage in the meeting safely and without distraction. Students who are driving, in class, are having significant technical difficulties with audio, video, or Wi-Fi connection issues, etc. will not be permitted to meet with an advisor and will be asked to return when they have eliminated distractions and/or barriers.

To find out who your advisor is:

  1. From your myWSU Student Homepage, select the Academic Advising tile.
