Held in both fall and spring semesters and coinciding with Career Networking Night, these university-wide career fairs attract recruiters from more than 100 industry-leading organizations. Recruiters want to connect with students from various majors and class years and some may conduct on-campus interviews the day after expo. Hosted by the Academic Success and Career Center, the expos are offered online and at Beasley Coliseum on the Pullman campus.

At these events, you will be able to network with representatives from a variety of companies specifically seeking to employ accounting majors, including public accounting firms, businesses and government agencies. The event format is an open forum and occurs during both fall and spring semesters. Accounting students can talk informally with industry professionals to gather information and learn about each of the attending organizations and open positions. Dress code is dressy business casual.

The event hosts hospitality companies from all over the country. Held each fall online, it’s the perfect opportunity to connect with potential employers for an internship or career-track position. Students and alumni from in and around Spokane, Washington are invited to attend this in-person fair, held annually in the spring.

The SHBM Ambassadors are a group of highly engaged majors or minors from the program that network with hospitality business partners, lead tours for potential students, promote the program to current students, and provide assistance at various off-campus recruiting events. These students are selected through an application and interview process through the office in Todd Hall 342.

Americas Lodging Investment Summit (ALIS)

Every January, a small group of hospitality students attends and works for the Americas Lodging Investment Summit in Los Angeles. They network with c-suite executives of top tier hospitality companies from around the world to learn about the investment side of the hospitality industry. Applications are due to the School of Hospitality Business Management office each fall to be accepted for this opportunity.
