Venues & Room Options

Washington State University’s Hospitality Catering Services offers flexible room layouts in both the Marriott Dining Room and Wine Room. Work with your catering coordinator to choose the best option for your event. Below are examples of common set-up styles.

Room Set-up Style Examples

Served Dinner Set-up

Maximum Seating: 78
Preferred Seating:72

  • Banquet Round tables
  • 8 to 10 guests per table
  • Podium and projector screen available for presentations

Reception Set-up

Maximum Occupancy:100

  • Bistro tables dispersed throughout the room
  • Podium and projector screen available for presentations

Lecture Style Set-up

Maximum Seating: 95 plus 4 presenters

  • Rectangle tables and chairs in row facing the front of the room, providing a space for guests to take notes.
  • Podium and projector screen available for presentations at the front of the room.

Executive Lecture Style Set-up

Maximum Seating: 95 plus 4 presenters

  • Same as the Lecture Style Set-up
    also includes:
    • Pad of paper, Pen, Water, for each guest

Dining setup

Maximum Seating: 116
Preferred Seating: 100

  • 10 six foot rectangle tables

Wine Room Set-up

Maximum Seating: 20

  • Perfect for a smaller Breakfast, Lunch, or dinner.
  • Large conference style table with chairs around all sides and ends.

Theater Style

Maximum Seating: 108

  • For a short lecture, or groups who are not expected to take notes.
