Carson College of Business Application to certify a business or HBM minor

Application to certify a business or HBM minor

Pullman campus

Use this application to certify into a minor in Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Entrepreneurship, and Hospitality Business Management.  If you are currently a certified Business Administration major, you cannot certify into the Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or Entrepreneurship minors.

Choosing a minor

The Carson College of Business offers minors in business administration, entrepreneurship, human resources and hospitality business management. Enrollment in business courses is limited. Not every student who applies will be accepted to certify a business/HBM minor. You may complete only one minor in the College of Business.

Certifying requirements

You must:

  • Be certified in a major outside the Carson College of Business at the time you apply  (students interested in applying for a minor in entrepreneurship or human resources may be pursuing a degree in hospitality business management)
  • Have 60 semester credit hours
  • Have at least a 2.5 cumulative GPA

Credit-hour and GPA requirements must be met by the end of the semester in which you apply or your application will be denied.

The process

You and other applicants will be placed in ranked order according to your academic performance at the end of the semester in which you apply. The number of students accepted to certify a minor will be based on the number of spaces available for the next semester.
