Study Abroad:
Denmark
The WSU Denmark Green Energy Study Tour offers students an opportunity to gain knowledge about energy-related opportunities by visiting business, not-for-profit, and government entities currently engaged in renewable energy, conservation, and the sustainability setting in Denmark.
The objective is to learn about the cultural values, economic institutions, and technologies that make Denmark a business and global leader in renewable energy and sustainability. By visiting governmental, business and scientific organizations, the participants will see firsthand the many ways in which Danish society integrates renewable energy and energy conservation opportunities into the business community and society at large.
The course is targeted to any student with an interest in developing a more sustainable society through innovation and effective public policy. The course will study best practices from the Danish model and explore how these can best be adopted by businesses or governmental entities at a local, state or federal level in the USA.
