Spring Series
The Carson Career Spring Series will introduce various virtual professional development workshops to better prepare you for upcoming online career fairs and networking events. Content will focus on several topics ranging from preparing for the career fair, getting employer feedback on your résumé, recruiter tips on how to have a successful interview, and more. These events will also give you the chance to network with employers, enhance professional development, and learn about internship and career opportunities.
The Carson Career Spring Series is FREE to all WSU students, alumni, faculty, and staff.
Register and learn about the virtual sessions below. You will need to register for each session. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Topic: Leadership
Agenda: 4-5PM Leadership talk, 5:30-6:30PM Meet-and-Greet with PACCAR professionals and Mr. Danforth
General Manager of PACCAR Parts since 2013 and Vice President of PACCAR Inc since 2014. David has been with PACCAR for 34 years. As the PACCAR Parts General Manager, David is responsible for all global aftermarket sales, marketing, operations and financial performance. Prior to his current role, David held positions of increasing responsibility at Peterbilt in engineering & marketing and at PACCAR Parts in marketing, technology, operations, and sales. He also worked at Corporate Purchasing as the Senior Director in charge of Global Powertrain Initiatives and new product development. David earned a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering from Washington State University and a Master of Business Administration in Technology Management from the University of Portland. He also completed the Wharton Global Advanced Management Program and the Stanford Executive Program.

How to Negotiate a Job Offer

Are you graduating this semester and seeking full-time positions? Then you need to practice negotiating your first job offer to maximize your chances of receiving the best salary, start date, benefits, potential signing bonus, and relocation package. Students must arrive by 4:30 pm to participate in the interactive workshop portion, led by Dr. Hunter and Dr. Tripp, then followed by a panel discussion with guest speakers in industry.
