In this issue we show you the importance of global perspective and how it touches everything we do in the college, from research to teaching, to our strategic goals, our mission, and our winning aspiration to be the model business school for tomorrow’s land-grant university. In their future careers, our graduates will be working with colleagues, seeking opportunities, and facing competitors from around the world. Jeri Epperson Discovers Business in Ireland

Not many people can say they have jumped neck deep into a thousand-year-old Irish peat bog with new friends. But Jeri Epperson can, and did, on her study abroad trip to Ireland in May 2018. A 37-year-old working mother of two, this non-traditional Carson undergraduate spent five weeks in Dublin making new traditions, memories, and adventures of a lifetime with her family by her side. » More ...

Kamiak Coffee: A Globally Better Cup

As WSU freshmen Kyle O'Malley and Grant Schoenlein knew before they graduated they didn't want to follow a traditional career path. They developed a craft coffee idea (think fancy beer, but with coffee beans) fairly easily: being coffee lovers and "constant connoisseurs" unable to find a better cup, they decided to roast their own beans. Online MBA Ranked #13 by U.S. News & World Report

U.S. News & World Report ranked online MBA and executive MBA programs from Washington State University’s Carson College of Business 13th out of a field of 285 online MBA programs nationwide. The Carson College was also recognized as among the best online MBA programs for veterans. Eric Carr Remembered Through Memorial Fund

The Center for Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the WSU Foundation, has established a new memorial fund to honor Eric Carr, former WSU student and loyal Coug who passed away on December 30, 2018. To help carry on Carr’s legacy of entrepreneurial spirit, his family and friends chose the Center for Entrepreneurship as the vehicle to enrich the next generation of entrepreneurs. » More ...

Scholarships Support McKayla Lewis’s Global Education

As a high school senior, McKayla Lewis thought she wanted to go to a culinary program focused on hospitality. However, Nancy Swanger, director of the School of Hospitality Business Management, changed her mind by asking one simple question—“Do you want to own and manage your own business or work for someone who does?” In that moment, Lewis learned she should attend an accredited business school in order to achieve her dream of owning an establishment. » More ...
