The undergraduate international business program ranked 14th overall and was 6th among public national universities. This continues a tradition of excellence in international business of more than 25 years.

The college’s undergraduate international business program focuses on the markets, people and places involved in trade, commerce and exchanges throughout the world. Students in this field develop an awareness of international business through participation in study abroad and by completing the college’s global learning requirement. The college leads WSU in the number of students studying abroad each year and offers faculty-led programs on four continents.

“Now more than ever, it’s important for future business professionals to have opportunities to engage with people from all backgrounds, learn a foreign language if possible, and develop respect for other cultures to gain their clients’ trust and reliance,” said Jessica Cassleman, assistant dean for international programs. “Our students’ testimonials attest to the transformational experiences and life-long relationships that result when they have opportunities to study internationally.”

“Our undergraduate international business program continues to be recognized by other schools of business as a model,” said Chip Hunter, college dean. “Our study abroad programs, our global partnerships and our international business major all contribute to our progress toward establishing the Carson College as the first choice for students seeking an undergraduate business education in the Pacific Northwest.”
