Dr. Dipra Jha Appointed as SHBM’s New Assistant Director

As the SHBM’s assistant director, Dipra Jha is the main point of contact when students, parents, and industry leaders visit the Pullman campus, and he has an active role in the SHBM’s social media presence. He also teaches courses in hospitality business management and international business. A passionate advocate for experiential learning and international education, Jha aims to develop and lead study abroad programs to destinations in Asia and the Middle East/North Africa region.

Alexandria Briggs (’20) Helps Seniors Live their Best Lives

Alumna Alexandria Briggs, a lifestyle assistant at Revel Spokane, has always been able to see beyond society’s expectations for seniors. When she heard one of Revel’s residents had achieved a bucket list goal of zip lining, Briggs threw herself into her work, getting to know each resident on a personal level and designing activities to enrich their lives.

Byron Marlowe Issues Winery Return to Business Guide

Dr. Byron Marlowe’s new return-to-business guide offers best practices guidelines and a checklist for reopening a tasting room based on what has been required and recommended by health departments and the state. It includes recommendations on winery procedures for dine-in service, employee safety and health, cleaning and sanitation, as well as organizational and administrative considerations and personnel illness management guidelines.
