Dear Colleagues,

In this inaugural edition of the Crimson Compass, I am pleased to share a collection of stories highlighting the success and progress of the International Business Institute.

To begin, we are proud to feature two of our first-generation students, Hingry Mendez and Oswaldo Medellin, who built their confidence and global perspective through study abroad programs in France and Thailand. We are also excited to recognize our faculty who have recently led an innovative, short-term study abroad program in Panama, developed a novel international sales course, and participated in faculty development programs in Ireland, Morocco, and India designed to enhance teaching and research in international business.

Finally, we are delighted to welcome several new International Business Advisory Board members who bring fresh vitality, vision, and perspectives that will facilitate opportunities for business students in a global marketplace. I hope through these stories you enjoy learning more about what is happening in the institute at the Carson College of Business.
