Dear Colleagues,

In this edition of the Crimson Compass, I am proud to highlight the continued growth and global impact of the International Business Institute in the Carson College of Business. We feature undergraduate stories that showcase the transformative power of international experiences, including Clara Sandell’s reflections on cultural immersion in Thailand and Stan De Keijzer’s adaptability in Switzerland. We also highlight our reinstated study abroad program in China, which further expands opportunities for students to develop global perspectives.

We additionally celebrate the global reach of our alumni, including Ella Spillane at Boeing Ventures and Amit Bedi at Collins Aerospace, whose work spans multiple continents. Our community also continues to grow through partnerships like our recent collaboration with students from CamEd Business School (in case you missed it, read our 2025 feature about their visit to WSU Pullman). Moreover, faculty research, such as Joseph Scott Gladstone’s work with the University of Melbourne, further strengthens our global engagement.

Looking ahead, we are excited to expand student opportunities through increased collaboration with the International Business Institute Advisory Board.
