{"id":9,"date":"2016-07-11T12:28:56","date_gmt":"2016-07-11T19:28:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/business.wsu.edu\/catering\/?page_id=9"},"modified":"2026-05-18T15:24:55","modified_gmt":"2026-05-18T22:24:55","slug":"procedures-rates","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/business.wsu.edu\/catering\/procedures-rates\/","title":{"rendered":"Procedures &amp; Rates"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center  wsu-font-size--large wsu-max-width--xhero\">Thank you for considering Washington State University\u2019s Hospitality Catering Services for your catering needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center  wsu-font-size--large wsu-max-width--xhero\">With our student managed operation our goal is to showcase the future leaders of the hospitality industry and WSU\u2019s bounty of quality products.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity fine-line\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Event Scheduling<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">To provide you with the best service we recommend that all arrangements for WSU Hospitality Catering Services be made <strong><em>30 days<\/em><\/strong> prior to the event.&nbsp;We will do our best to accommodate events scheduled after that time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cancellations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">All cancellations must be made <strong>SEVEN<\/strong> working days prior to event date.&nbsp;Any cancellations past the deadline will have a 22% fee to cover incurred labor and product costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Room Rental<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">Room rentals include room setup, tables, and chairs<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\" wsu-list--columns-3\">\n<li>Marriott Dining Room&nbsp;<strong>$175.00<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wine Business Classroom&nbsp;<strong>$125.00<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">Please note, all cancellations must be made&nbsp;<strong>SEVEN<\/strong>&nbsp;working days prior to event date.&nbsp;Any cancellations past the deadline will have a <strong>$50.00<\/strong> fee to cover incurred labor and product costs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Service Charge<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">Service fee is 22% of the total event cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Service Staff<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">There is an additional $27.00 per hour labor charge for extra service staff if necessary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bar &amp; Bartenders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">There is an additional $50.00 per hour labor charge for bartenders and glassware.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Linens and Skirting<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">All events catered by Hospitality Catering Services include linens and skirting for buffet tables and served meals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wsu-max-width--xhero wsu-spacing-after--xxsmall\">Additional Linen Costs:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wsu-list--columns-4 wsu-spacing-after--small\">\n<li><em>Round tables:<\/em><br><strong>$10.00 each<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Rectangle tables:<\/em><br><strong>$10.00 each<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Bistro tables:<\/em><br><strong>$7.00 each<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Linen Napkin:<\/em><br><strong>$0.75 each<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Decorations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">Basic room d\u00e9cor may be included as part of your event setup. Additional d\u00e9cor options may be arranged for an extra cost. Please discuss available options and customization with your catering coordinator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Menu Pricing<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">Varies dependent upon event. Please contact catering department at cb.hbm.dine@wsu.edu<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Taxes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">Taxes at a rate of 8% may apply for non university-sponsored events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Rentals<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">Events may require the rental of additional equipment. All additional charges will be mutually agreed upon and outlined in the event contract.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Delivery Fees<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">There is a delivery charge for all events outside of Todd 268. Deliveries within Todd Hall will be $20.00. Deliveries outside of Todd Hall will be $75.00.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Offsite Events<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\" wsu-max-width--xhero\">The rental of additional equipment, extra labor, china, flatware, glassware etc. will incur an extra charge.
