DESCRIPTION:The Washington State Tax Conference is diversifying this year. Attendees may select a fully in-person option\, on the Washington State University Pullman campus\, or a fully online version via Zoom. The registration cost is the same for both options. In person participants receive some meals as well as networking opportunities. SUMMARY:Faculty Engagement & Networking
DESCRIPTION:4-5 p.m. \nThis faculty engagement activity is meant to help you engage with your faculty. These faculty members have spent much of their adult life becoming experts in their fields. This is an opportunity for you to talk to them\, ask questions about class\, the workplace\, what types of jobs the degree to could lead to\, their research\, and even life/academic advice to help you build your future. These faculty members not only teach\, they do research\, sit on scholarship committees and are extremely connected with employers\, industry professionals and possible mentors. Take this time to research them online\, learn about their interests and find the faculty member that you would like to engage with. \nAt this event\, there will be a panel with faculty. All you have to do is attend! Following the panel\, there will be a networking event too. \nIf you would like to receive credit for both the Faculty Engagement and Networking portion you must stay for the entirety of the event and scan BOTH QR codes provided. \nFaculty Panel: \n\nKevin Mayo\n\nFor CREDIT\, arrive on time\, ask questions and engage\, QR code will be provided \n*Expected dress:* Business Casual: no athletic wear\, shorts or jeans. Need to find something? The ASCC has the Cougar Closet and the LGBTQ+ Center has the Fluid Fashion Closet. \n5-6 p.m. \nImmediately following the faculty engagement PANEL\, the faculty will network with you in a learning to network event where you will receive prompts to practice your networking skills while getting to know your faculty. \nIf you would like to receive credit for both the Faculty Engagement and Networking portion you must stay for the entirety of the event and scan BOTH QR codes provided. \nFor Credit\, you will participate during the entire event and scan a QR code upon its completion. \n*Expected dress:* Business Casual: no athletic wear\, shorts or jeans.
